E07 – The English Man “000 000” Numbers Station

E07 is an English voice numbers station run by the Russian SVR.  It has changed it’s voice many times since it began and switched from using E06’s to it’s current voice in 2001.  There are still a few very rare instances where E07 will use E06’s voice. Before the voice change, the only way to identify E07 from E06 was it’s structure.

E07 transmits two days per week, three times per day.  Each additional transmission is usually 1-2 MHz higher or lower in frequencies.  The schedule usually changes every month.  An E07 broadcast contains one or rarely two messages transmitted three times on separate frequencies 20 minutes apart. If a null message is sent, the third transmission does not take place. A test tone can also be heard a few minutes before the transmission.
