Nickname: 4 Note Rising Scale
Activity: Inactive, since 1990
Emission mode: AM
Voice Summary: Female German circuit on the Sprach/Morse Maschine. Also used a different voice (from another machine) that did not have the hard ‘drrrrei’ and said ‘zero’ instead of ‘null’.
Believed Country of Origin: East Germany
The use of Trennung for this station in the call up wasn’t used to indicate group count after the call up, but for how many minutes after the beginning of the transmission the message for the intended agents is to start. Example: 66113/05 means a message for agent 66113 would start 5 minutes on the hour. When the agent’s message was ready the Trennung changed into a group count. This station emitted in AM, and fell silent in 1990.
Nicknamed “A”, G08a was a G08 variant with Morse. Has been noted with a different non-Stasi machine voice using ‘zero’ instead of ‘null’. Sent “A” in slow Morse, then a 5 figure group (#####), and finished with a long interval tone for 2 minutes.
Nicknamed “Rapid Dots” G08b was a G08 variant using rapid dots instead of usual 4 note. Structure was the same otherwise. Has been noted with a different non-Stasi machine voice using ‘zero’ instead of ‘null’.
