G15 – Papa November

Nickname: Papa November
Activity: Inactive
Emission mode: USB + Carrier
Voice Summary: Used a live/re-recorded voice until the late 80’s. Switched to an automated woman.
Believed Country of Origin: West Germany

Station Summary

West German BND station. First logged in the 1960’s/1970’s. This station sent out transmission for a large amount of agents. Group counts were usually very small. Set up the same as G14 besides the call up. Emitted in AM and repeats in USB.
(NOTE: In the Conet Project with this station and other stations in Family 6 there is an awful trancription of the message announcements. In the notes of the Conet Project they list this as “Es folgen talon für”. This is not the proper term, and is incredibly bad German. The actual announcemnt is “Es folgen Mitteilungen für”, meaning ‘messages for … are following’.)
Due to the German alphabet being different ‘November’ is pronounced as ‘Noh-fem-bur’ in the call up.

G15a

G15a was a variant of G15 where the ID was read over the music tones.

Family Relatives: G14, G16, E16, M15
