DP01 – Digital Pseudo-Polytone Numbers Station

DP01 is a unique numbers station that uses both polytones and another digital mode, which is how it gets the name Digital Pseudo-Polytone. The digital mode is a QPSK modem with two channels utilizing a baud rate of 62.5 BD. There is a possibility that DP01 is not an actual numbers station though, and it is rarely heard.

DP01 was first discovered in 2008, but it went unnoticed for a long time until April 9th, 10th, and 11th. It was official given it’s ID on April 14th, 2014.
