Johann Sanitzer (1904-1957) was agent of Nazi Germany secret police or Gestapo from Austria. During the war he played active role in counter intelligence and by using fake radio broadcasts lured 70 Soviet agents who paratroop into Nazi occupied Austria and arrested them. After the war he was arrested and sentenced by Austrian authorities. Its implicated but not fully proven that during his captivity he recruited numerous ex Gestapo agents for East German intelligence service the STASI.
