XP – Polytones Russian Digital Number Stations

XP was a Russian Intel Multi-tone Numbers Station.  It operated from the 1980’s until 2005, and used a 14-tone MFSK digital mode.  XP was replaced by XPA after it went inactive in 2005.

There is another version of this station that existed and used higher tones (XPH).  This station was actually spotted once in 2009.  There was also some confusion with this station, since XP was originally called XPH until it was properly renamed.
