G17 – The German Lady Numbers Station Profile

Not much is known about G17, but it was a numbers station possibly linked to the KGB/GRU/FSB operators.  If this is the case, then this station was likely generated by the Stasi Sprach Morse Machine.  It’s station structure is also unknown, but again it probably followed the “000 000” format like it’s supposed counterpart number stations.  It only transmitted on 5420 kHz, possibly only once ever.

It was nicknamed The German Lady by ENIGMA 2000.  Note that the more active, and much more well known German Lady was G06.
